What is AXELERO Gait & Balance?
AXELERO Gait & Balance is the latest medical device from Meden-Inmed, consisting of a treadmill, a stand with a monitor, and a computer with Neuroforma Gait & Balance software installed. The device is used for training gait and balance pattern disorders but is not intended for diagnosis. AXELERO Gait & Balance is ideal for patients with disorders of the lower limb motor system, and can also be used to determine gait or balance parameters. The posturographic plate built under the treadmill belt determines the location of the center of pressure and the patient’s weight
The basic equipment of AXELERO Gait & Balance
AXELERO Gait & Balance is equipped with a dedicated wireless remote control that allows the patient to control the device, and the tablet included in the set is used by medical personnel. Built-in, adjustable handrails allow them to be adjusted to the patient’s height. Thanks to the use of such a solution, the minimum user height is 120cm
Indications and contraindications for training with AXELERO Gait & Balance
The main indication classifying a patient for training using AXELERO Gait & Balance is a gait pattern disorder resulting from neurological conditions such as cerebral palsy, stroke, Parkinson’s disease, or multiple sclerosis. The device is an excellent form of rehabilitation for people with hip or knee endoprostheses, patients suffering from degenerative diseases of the lower limb joints, and spinal muscular atrophy. Muscle weakness or heart disease are also indications of classifying a patient for training using AXELERO Gait & Balance . In some cases, prior consultation and consent from the attending physician is necessary
The most important contraindications include, among others, serious impairments of vision, hearing or cognitive functions, weight over 160 kg, abrasions or open wounds in the feet. Also lack or impaired stability in the joints of the lower limbs, unfused bone fractures, osteoporosis or pregnancy are limitations.
Handling and use of AXELERO Gait & Balance
The AXELERO Gait & Balance device is operated by medical personnel who have previously read the user manual. The patient can operate the treadmill using the remote control included in the set. Appropriate attire during therapy is clothing that does not restrict the patient’s movements and comfortable sports shoes.
Before starting the device, the width and height of the handrail should be adjusted to the patient’s body structure. The height of the monitor can be adjusted, which improves the user’s comfort and provides clearer feedback.
AXELERO Gait & Balance is operated by medical personnel using a tablet that connects wirelessly to a computer. During the first visit, it is necessary to create a patient account. An important aspect is setting the training parameters – time, distance, and speed of the current training session. During training, you can control the gait parameters: butterfly graph, path, limb load, comparison of step length, and duration of the transfer phase. At the same time, the patient has a view of, among others, the belt speed, distance covered, training duration, and comparison of step length and load.
How does AXELERO Gait&Balance work?
All gait parameters are calculated using strain gauges. Under the running belt, there is a plate mounted on four strain gauge beams. By comparing the load on the sensors, the position of the center of pressure force is obtained.

Description
Eleven is a training device for simultaneous unloading, posture, and balance control on a treadmill or firm surfaces. Systems providing dynamic unloading are perfect for training patients in a wide range of gait disorders. Used in: Rehabilitation Gait reeducation Used for: Therapeutic purposes Diagnostic purposes (training balance and gait) Used in Therapeutic purposes Diagnostic purposes (training balance and gait) Ideal for working with: Neurological patients Orthopedic patients Patients after COVID-19 infection For adults and children Advantages: Suitable for treatment of very high (210 cm) patients. Compact design for easy access to rooms with low doors. Base: width adjustable from 89,4 cm up to 109,4 cm allows both an easy passage through most doors and exercises on the treadmill in suspension. Height adjustment and adjustable and interchangeable handrails maximize support during gait training. Adjustable unique universal harness (S-M-L-XL) and easily made gait direction changes make it possible to adjust the system to the specific needs of each patient, allowing the clinics to treat various patients with a single Eleveo system, giving the possibility of front, back, and sideways gait training. Fully movable: four-wheel system (2 wheels with full and 2 with directional brakes for pre-setting the direction of movement before the treatment). Therapist comfort: electronic panel (portable, magnetically attached), battery-powered electric height adjustment via manual remote control. Removable upholstered stool with wheel for manually controlled gait training. Long-lasting battery of weighing module (up to 8 months).
Eleven is a training device for simultaneous control of unloading, posture, and balance on a treadmill or from surfaces. Systems providing dynamic unloading are a perfect solution for training patients in a wide range of gait disorders. Eleven helps to maintain proper posture, reduces load, eliminates balance problems, and improves motor coordination training.
Unique harnesses are designed for uni- or bilateral support of the body as well as for a gradual level change from fully loaded to fully unloaded. The device allows for a manually controlled treatment of lower limbs and pelvis to ensure proper movement. Configurability of the device allows the clinics to treat various patients with a single Eleveo system. Extra options help to adjust the system to the specific needs of each patient.
Eleven can run on-ground or on-treadmill for stationary gait training or cardiac stress test
360° swivel rotates the patient while still in the harness
Swappable sets of handlebars for control during gait training
